About

From tradition to transformation,
ceramics for every space, every idea.

Maahforooz Art Group was founded in 2011 with a passion for creating a rich spectrum of glazes, both in texture and color, on ceramic forms.

Over time, we have earned recognition for turning every hue and surface imagined by architects and interior designers into reality, embedding their visions in one of humanity’s most enduring materials: ceramic. Rooted in Iran, a land with a luminous heritage of ceramic artistry, Maahforooz carries forward a tradition that has shaped and safeguarded the nation’s cultural identity through centuries of change. From the glazed bricks of Chogha Zanbil (circa 1250 BCE) to the deep Persian blue that graces domes, water channels, and desert skies, ceramics have long reflected the soul of this land. Building on that legacy, we merge ancient craftsmanship with modern science and technology, presenting ceramics to architecture as both industry and art and allowing the material to merge with the very essence of a building rather than serving as a purely decorative element.

We have developed specialized glazing techniques for all types of ceramic bodies, including earthenware, stoneware, and porcelain, each tailored to its architectural purpose.

Our facilities and skilled artisans enable large-scale production while preserving the intimacy and precision of craftsmanship, which remains the hallmark of Maahforooz creations. Through craft, we seek beauty, durability, authenticity, and endurance, the qualities that set our work apart from mass-produced ceramics. By using metal oxides rather than artificial stains, and by mastering distinct kiln-firing methods, we achieve vibrant, soulful variations across our glazes. The interplay of colors, born from natural chemical reactions under shifting temperatures, creates rhythmic patterns that no printed design can ever replicate. The glaze is fired at temperatures exceeding 900 celsius degrees for hours depending on type and color of that, ensuring a long-life resistance. We believe that the limitless potential of glaze, explored through oxidation and reduction firing, can open new dimensions in architectural design. It offers a living medium through which creators express beauty in ways that are both modern and timeless.
